If these procedures do not correct the problem, contact your Technical
Representative
6.2 The Copier is not functioning as designed
Turn the copier OFF immediately, unplug the power cord, and call your
Technical Representative.
The image on the
copy is not aligned
properly.
The original is not placed in the
correct position.
Place the original correctly on
the Original Glass against the
Original Width Scale, see page
3-4.
Or, load it into the Automatic
Document Feeder correctly
along the Document Guide
Plates, see page 3-8.
The originals may not be
suitable for use in the Automatic
Document Feeder.
Raise the Automatic Document
Feeder, and place the originals
on the Original Glass, one at a
time, instead of using the
Automatic Document Feeder,
see page 3-4.
The Original Glass is dirty.
(When the Automatic Document
Feeder is being used.)
Wipe the Original Glass clean
with a soft dry cloth,
see page 8-3.
Symptom Check for Action
None of the Control Panel
Indicators light up.
Is the Start Key lit up green? The copier is in the Energy
Saver Mode. Press any Key
on the Control Panel to
cancel the Energy Saver
Mode, see page 2-14.
The copier is in the Auto
Shut OFF Mode.
Turn the Power Switch ON.
Pressing the Start Key does
not start the copy cycle.
Is the Start Key blinking
Orange?
The copier is now warming
up. Please wait,
see page 2-12.
Is any of the following
Indicators lit up?
Takethe necessary steps for
each Indicator,
see page 5-1.
The Copier is not activated
when the Power Switch is
turned ON.
Is the power cord plugged
into the power outlet?
Plug the power cord into the
power outlet.
Is the room circuit breaker
open?
Close the room circuit
breaker.
