6.18 Selection of operation mode and operation location
6.18.1 Operation mode selection (Pr. 79)
Used to select the operation mode of the inverter.
Mode can be changed as desired between operation using external command signals (external op-
eration), operation from the operation panel and PU (FR-PU04/FR-PU07) (PU operation), combined
operation of PU operation and external operation (external/PU combined operation), and network
operation (when RS-485 communication or acommunication option is used).
The above parameter can be changed during a stop in any operation mode.

Switchover mode
Switchover between PU operation, external opera-
tion, and NET operation is available while keeping
the same operation status.

External operation mode (PU operation interlock)
X12 signal ON:
Operation mode can be shifted to PU operation mode
(output stop during external operation)
X12 signal OFF:
Operation mode can not be switched to PU operation
mode.
