12-14 Simple inspection and service
4 While driving at slow speeds
Perform the following checks while driving in a safe
place at speeds lower than 20 km/h (12 mph).
Suspension springs
Check for broken springs and tilt of vehicle
body toward either side.
License plate and reflector condition
Check the license plate and reflectors for
loose installation, damage, and dirt.
Steering wheel operation
Check that the steering wheel does not vibrate
or pull to one side and that it is not unduely
heavy. Also make sure that the steering wheel
returns to its neutral position smoothly.

Brake performance
Depress the brake pedal and check that the
brakes work effectively and evenly on all
wheels.
