storethebatterieswhentheyarefullychargedordischarged.

Abatteryisanexpendablepartandmayneedreplacingduringthelifeoftheradio.Toensuremaximumservice
lifeofyourradio,alwaysreplacethebatterywithagenuineMotorolareplacement.Inordertoensuremaximum
lifeforyourbattery:
•Donotchargeitunlessnecessary(lowbatteryindication).
•Chargeituntilfullchargeindicationison.
•Turnofftheradiobeforecharging.

Yourchargeronlychargesyourbatterywhenitisattemperaturerangeof1°Cto37°C.Asthetemperaturegets
colder(closeto0°C)lesscapacityisstoredinthebattery.
If,duringcharging,thetemperatureisoutofrange,thebatterymightnotbefullychargedsincethechargingis
temporarilystoppeduntilthetemperaturebecomessuitable.Thetemperaturerangeofbatteryoperationisfrom0°C
to+45°Cinchargermodeandfrom-10°Cto
+60°Cindischargemode.

Generally,toreducethenumberofchargecyclesasmuchasyoucan,waitfortheLowBatterymessagetocharge,
asitensuresmaximumbatterylife.Donotuseyourchargerasaradioholderorleaveyourradioandfullycharged
