holdthePTTbutton.Waitforthetalkpermittonebeforetalking,andreleasethePTTbuttontolisten.Fora
duplexcall,pressandreleaseSENDkey.Youheararingingtone.
b.DMO—Onlysimplexcallisavailable.PressandholdthePTTbutton.Waitforthetalkpermittone
beforetalking,andreleasethePTTbuttontolisten.
4Toendthecall,presstheENDkey.
3.4.7PrivateCallWithPresenceCheck
ThisfeatureallowsyoutoseeifthecallingpartyisavailableinDMO.Whenthisfeatureisenabled,youcan
onlyinitiateaPrivateCallifthecalledradioispresentonthesamechannelandrespondswithapresencecheck
acknowledgement.
OtherwiseyourradiodisplaysPartynotavailable.
3.4.8TalkgroupforIndividualCalls
TalkgroupforIndividualCallsisatalkgroupthatoperatesonaseparatefrequencyallocatedforindividual(private)
callsonly.Usingthistalkgroupoptimizesfrequencyresourcesandhelpsnottoblockothertalkgroups.Theonly
supportedcalltypesare:privatecallsandemergencycalls(bothprivateandgroup).Usethistalkgroupeachtime
youneedtomakeaprivatecall.
WhenyouselectaTalkgroupforIndividualCalls,yourradioisnotabletoreceiveorinitiateanygrouporbroadcast
callswithprioritylowerthanEmergency.
WhenyouhaveselectedaTalkgroupforIndividualCallsandpressthePTTbuttontostartaGroupCall,theradio:
•Rejectsthecall
•Playsatone
•DisplaysIndividualOnlymessage
3.4.9CommunicationthroughRepeater
RadiosthatcannotcommunicatedirectlyonewithanotherinDMOModecandoitthroughtherepeater.The
repeaterisaradiothatrepeatsallcommunicationonachosenchannel,andasaresultincreasesradios’DMOrange.
