Before Assembly
_ WARNING:Disconnectthe spark plug
wire and Ground it against the engine
to prevent unintendedstarting.
NOTE:Referencetoright,left,frontor rearofthe unitis
fromtheoperatingpositionunlessotherwisestated.
1. Cutthe cabletie thatsecuresthe upperhandleto
thechuteassemblyforshippingpurposes.
Setting Up The Handle
1. Loosenthechuteknobon theupperchute(l) and
pivottheupperchuteupwards(2)asfaras itwillgo.
SeeFigure1.
,_ WARNING:Donot lift the snow thrower by
the chute handle.

2. Loosenthe handleknob,saddlewasherandhandle
taboneachside of the handle.SeeFigure2.
3. Holdbothcontrolsagainstupperhandleand pullup
asshownin Step1 ofFigure3. Makesurethatthe
upperhandlelocksoverthelowerhandleandhandle
tabsalignwiththe handle.Youmayhaveto carefully
maneuvertheupperhandletoclearchuteassembly.
CAUTION:Be careful notto bend or kink the cable.
4. Tightenthehandleknobsoneach sideof the
handle.Referto Step2 inFigure3.
5. Adjustupperchuteandrotatechutehandleto
desiredoperatingposition.
6. Tightenthechuteknobon the upperchutemaking
suretheflatwasherandthe carriagebolt are
correctlypositioned.Referto Figure1.

Clean-Out Tool
Thistoolandthe electricextensioncord,if so equipped,
maybefastenedwitha cabletie to the rearof the auger
housingfor shippingpurposes.Inthatcase,cutthe
cabletieand removetheextensioncord now.

Final Adjustments
IMPORTANT:Checktheadjustmentsasinstructedand
makeanyfinaladjustmentsnecessarybeforeoperating
theunit.Checkall nutsandboltsfor tightness.Failureto
followtheseinstructionsmaycausedamageto unit.
Tire Pressure (Pneumatic Tires)
Thetiresareover-inflatedforshippingpurposes.Check
tirepressureand reducepressure,ifneeded.Referto
thetire'ssidewallfortheproperinflationPSiinformation.
Maintainequalpressureonbothwheelsof snowthrower.
WARNING:Referto the tire's sidewall
A or properPSiinflation.Equaltire
pressureshould be maintained at
all times. Excessive pressurewhen
seating beads may causetire/rim
assembly to burst with force sufficient
