havetooperateit on gravel,keepthe skidshoeinthe
highestpositionformaximumclearance.
1. Adjustskidshoesby looseningtwo hexnutsand
carriageboltsoneach skidshoe,andmovethe skid
shoetothedesiredposition.SeeFigure4.
2. Makecertaintheentirebottomsurfaceofskidshoe
isagainstthegroundtoavoidunevenwearonthe
skidshoes.
3. Tightennutsandboltssecurely.

Routing The Drive Cable
Makesurethatthedrivecane isroutedparallelto
theleftupperhandle,thenacrossthe topof the
lowerhandleandfinallyparalleltothe rightlower
handle. SeeFigure5.
Threecabletieshavebeenusedtolooselytiethe
twocontrolcablesto the lowerhandle.Twoof these
cabletiesareon eacharm,andthirdon thetop
crossbarofthelowerhandle.Tightenthesecable
tiesto securethe cableto the lowerhandle.See
Figure5.
Adjusting Auger Cable
Periodicadjustmentto theaugercontrolcablemaybe
requireddueto normalstretchandwearon the belt.
Adjustmentisneedediftheaugersseemtohesitate
whileturning,buttheenginemaintainsspeed,or
continueturningwiththeaugercontroldisengaged.
1. Loosenthe rearhex bolton the cableadjustment
bracket. See Figure6.
2. Slidethe cableadjustmentbracketbackwards
takingoutthe slackintheaugercable.
3. Retightenthe rearhexbolt
4. Startengineand verifyaugercontrolengagesand
disengagesproperly.
NOTE:Ifaugercontinuesto rotatewiththe control
disengaged,shutoff engineandreadjust.
__i= ARNING: Donotover-tighten the
cable.Over-tightening maypreventthe
auger from disengagingandcompro-
misethe safetyof thesnowthrower.
Setup And

Do notOver,tightenthe
cable,Over4ightening
mayprevent the auger
fromdisengagingand
compromisethe safety
of the snowthrower.
IMPORTANT:
Checkthe adjustments
as instructedand make
any finaladjustments
necessarybefore
operatingthe unit,
Checkall nuts
bolts for tightness.
Failuretofollow these
instrUctions maycause
damage tounit

that you operatethis
snowthrower on gravel
loose grave!can be
easily pickedup and
thrown bythe auger
causing personalinjury
or damageto the snow
