4.6 Stopping the engine from LOP (without Blue Line automation
system)
Preconditions
☑ Engine is running in local mode.
CAUTION
Stopping the engine when it is running at full load causes extreme stress to the engine.
Risk of overheating, damage to components!
• Before shutting down, disengage gear and run the engine at idle speed for at least 10 mins. until
engine temperatures have dropped and constant values are displayed.
Stopping the engine from LOP
Item Task
LOP Disengage clutch (→ Page 140).
LOP Operate engine at idle speed (→ Page 140).
Temperature readings Wait until engine temperatures do not sink any further.
LOP Press STOP button (→ Page 140).
• STOP button is illuminated;
• Engine is stopped.
