Ignition and injection system diagnostics
For the diagnosis of the ignition and injection system a
Weber-Marelli diagnostic software is available which is
capable of identifying and recording the faults present
or that were present previously on the motorcycle. This
software is equipped with a guide book for the use of
the software itself to carry out checks on each indivi-
dual component of the system.
The MDST software allows to carry out the following
operations:
- reading of engine parameters
- reading of faults and their deletion
- active diagnosis

Ignition and injection system diagnostics
For the diagnosis of the ignition and injection system it
is necessary to use a TEXA diagnostic software which
is capable of identifying and recording the faults pre-
sent or that were present previously on the motorcycle.
This software is equipped with a guide book for the use
of the software itself to carry out checks on each indi-
vidual component of the system.
The IDC4 software allows to carry out the following
operations:
- reading of engine parameters
- reading of faults and their deletion
- active diagnosis
To order the diagnostic unit and software, refer to the
code numbers and to the reference address of TEXA
given in section “M - Special Tools”.
Verify that the version index of the curren-
tly installed software is equal or higher
than the one mentioned in the Technical
Instruction concerning engine mapping.
