5.2.1. Mixer Channel
The Mixer channels receive the individual audio signals from the Decks. Each Mixer channel con-
tains controls to adjust the incoming and outgoing levels, and the audio signal's frequency con-
tent. Any of the four Mixer channels can integrate different external sources. Whereas Mixer chan-
nels A and B are equipped with an additional PHONO pre-amplifier for connecting turntables, Mix-
er channels C and D integrate microphones instead. The Mixer channels provide you with the fol-
lowing control elements:
Mixer channel.
(1) GAIN knob: Adjusts the input level for the incoming signal of the corresponding Deck, before it
passes the channel fader. For more information, refer to Adjusting Levels.
(2) FX Assign buttons: These buttons individually assign the FX Units to the Mixer channel. For
more information, refer to Playing with FX Units.
(3) HI knob: Emphasizes, attenuates, or removes the middle frequency band of the audio signal.

(4) MID knob: Emphasizes or attenuates the middle frequency band of the audio signal. For more

(5) LOW knob: Emphasizes, or attenuates, or removes the low frequency band of the audio sig-
