4. Grasp the drive carrier handle and pull the handle toward you to disengage the drive
connector from the backplane.
5. Hold the drive carrier handle and hard disk securely and remove the hard disk from the
drive bay.
6. To use the server with the hard disk removed, insert a dummy tray into the empty slot.
IMPORTANT: To maintain the cooling effect in the server, install the
dummy tray in the vacant slot of the disk bay.
7. Close the door opened in step 2 securely.
