Important Information
Fire and Shock Precautions
1.î Ensureî that there is sufficient ventilation and that
vents are unobstructed to prevent potentially dan-
gerous concentrations of ozone and the build-up of
heat inside yourîprojector.îAllowîat least 23.6 inches
(60îcm)îofîspaceîbetween your projector and a wall.
Inîparticular, clear a space of 27.6îinchesî(70îcm) or
more in front of the air outlet on the rear surface and
11.8îinchesî(30îcm) or more on the upper part of the

2. Prevent foreignîobjectsîsuchîas paper clips and bits of
paper from fallingîintoîyourîprojector. Do not attempt
to retrieve any objectsîthatîmightîfallîinto your projec-
tor. Do not insert any metal objects such as a wire or
screwdriver into your project
or.îIfîsomethingîshould
fall into your projector, shut down theîACîpowerîtoîtheî
projector immediately and have the object removed
byîaîqualiî edîserviceîperson.
î ForîC2îconnection, turn off the projector, shut down
theîACîpowerîtoîtheîprojectorîandîtheîlightîusingîaî
circuitîbreaker, and contact your dealer/distributor.
3.î Turnîoffîtheîprojector,îshutîdownîACîpowerîbyîusingîaî
circuitîbreakerîandîcontactîqualiî edîservice personnel
under theî followingî conditions.î Forî C2î connection,
turn off the projector, shut down theîACîpowerîtoîtheî
projectorî andî theî lightî usingî aî circuitî breaker,î andî
contact your dealer/distributor for a repair.
â˘î Whenî theî powerî cableî orî plugî isî damagedî or
frayed.
â˘î Ifîliquid has been spilled into the projector, or if it
hasîbeenîexposed to rain or water.
â˘î Ifîtheîprojector does not operate normally when
you follow the instructions described in this userâs
manual.
â˘î Ifîthe projector has been dropped or the cabinet
hasîbeenîdamaged.
â˘î Ifîtheîprojectorîexhibitsîaîdistinctîchangeîinîper-
formance,îindicatingîaîneed for service.
4.î WhenîusingîaîLANîcable:
î Forîsafety,îdoînotîconnectîtoîtheîconnectorîforîperiph-
eralîdeviceîwiringîthatîmightîhaveîexcessiveîVoltage.
5. Makeîsureîtoîmountîtheîpowerîcableîstopperîbeforeî

Cleaning
1.î ShutîdownîACîpowerîbyîusingîaîcircuitîbreakerîbeforeî
cleaning.
î ForîC2îconnection, turn off the projector, shut down
theîACîpowerîtoîtheîprojectorîandîtheîlightîusingîaî
circuit breaker.
2.î Cleanîtheîcabinet periodically withîaîcloth.îIfîheavily
soiled, use a mildîdetergent.îNeverîuseîstrongîdeter-
gents or solvents such as alcohol or thinner.
3. Use a blower or lens paper to clean the lens, and be
careful not to scratch or mar the lens.
4. Do not handle the projector and the power cable with
wet hands.îDoingîsoîcanîcause electrical shockîorîî re.
5.î Doî notî useî aî sprayî containingî îĄammableî gasî toî

2. Do not turn offîtheîACîpowerîforî90îsecondsîafter
the Laser is turnedî onî andî whileî theî POWERî
indicator is blinkingîgreen.îDoingîso could cause
premature Laser failure.
3.î Keepîhandsîawayîfromîtheîlensîmounting portion
while the lens shift is in oper

4.î Whenîmainîbodyîisîdamaged,îcoolingîîĄuids may

with your eyes, please consult with doctors imme-
diately.
