GETTING STARTED
MOUNTING FIXED ANTENNA CONTD
Fixed dish mounted on tripod
Be aware that the portable antenna also can be
mounted on tripod.
Adjustment
In order to obtain optimal receive/transmit conditions,
it is important to point the antenna towards the
satellite as accurately as possible.
Procedure (see previous page):
1 Make a coarse adjustment until a signal strength
of at least 535 is obtained.
Fasten the two horizontal adjustment nuts and
the two vertical adjustment bolts.
2 Loosen the horizontal adjustment nuts slightly,
so that it is possible to move the antenna (with
some force) in the horizontal direction.
Adjust the antenna horizontally for maximum
received signal strength.
Tighten the horizontal adjustment bolts.
3 Loosen the vertical adjustment bolts slightly, so
that it is possible to move the antenna (with
some force) in the vertical direction.
Adjust the antenna vertically for maximum
received signal strength.
Tighten the vertical adjustment bolts.
4 Repeat steps 2 and 3 as many times as
necessary until the maximum signal strength
has been obtained.
The antenna is now correctly adjusted.
If the signal strength reading is below 535, the
selected location is unsuitable for the fixed
antenna. Move the antenna elsewhere and
repeat the procedure from step 1.
