1. Hardware Setup
Getting to know your router
The NETGEAR R6200 WiFi Router is compatible with the latest WiFi devices, and is backward
compatible with 802.11 a/b/g and n devices. The R6200 with simultaneous dual band WiFi
technology offers speeds up to 300

Mbps and avoids interference, ensuring top WiFi
speeds and reliable connections. You can also use the Gigabit Ethernet ports and USB port to
connect local devices.
If you already set up your router, you can skip this chapter. If you have not done that yet, this
chapter covers the hardware setup. Chapter 2, Getting Started with NETGEAR Genie, explains
how to access your router to view or change its settings.
