We recommend to use the permanent operation mode for WAN links in general. How-
ever, in case of time-limited mobile tariffs for instance, the switchover mode might be
applicable. By using the distributed mode, it is possible to distribute outgoing traffic
over multiple WAN links based on their weight ratio.
For mobile links, it is further possible to pass through the WAN address towards a local
host (also called Drop-In or IP Pass-through). In particular, the first DHCP client will
receive the public IP address. More or less, the system acts like a modem in such case
which can be helpful in case of firewall issues. Once established, the Web Manager can
be reached over port 8080 using the WAN address but still over the LAN1 interface
using port 80.

Switch-back Specifies the switch-back condition of a switchover link and
the time after an active hotlink will be teared down
IP Pass-through Specifies whether the IP address of the WAN link should
be passed-through to the first DHCP client of the specified
LAN interface
