5.3.6. Serial Port
This page can be used to manage your serial ports. A serial port can be used by:
Parameter Serial Port Usage
none The serial port is not used
login console The serial port is used to open a console which can be ac-
cessed with a serial terminal client from the other side. It
will provide helpful bootup and kernel messages and spawns
a login shell, so that users can login to the system.
device server The serial port will be exposed over a TCP/IP port and can
be used to implement a Serial/IP gateway.
SDK The serial port will be reserved for SDK scripts.

An RS232 serial port is optional on NB3700.
