Each detection circuit can have up to sixteen characters of text assigned to it, e.g., circuit 01
may be programmed to “Front Door” etc.
Oncetheeditcircuittextoptionisselectedthekeypadoperatesinatextmode,seepage 44for
full details.
To program circuit text proceed as follows:
1. Ensure that “User menu 3" is selected. Press 6 to select
the Edit Circuit Text option. The display will show:
2. Select the circuit by entering its number or by pressing:
A To scroll up one circuit
C To scroll down one circuit
e.g., to select circuit 04 enter “04". If
the circuit has no text the display will
show:
3. Press B, if text has already been programmed for the
selectedcircuititcannowbeedited,goto step6.However,
if the circuit has no text the display will show:
4. To program “new” text without copying, press [ and go
to step 6.If you want to copy text from anothercircuit select
the circuit by entering its number or by pressing:
A To scroll up one circuit
B To scroll up ten circuits
C To scroll down one circuit
e.g., to copy text from circuit 02 enter “02". The display
will show the text to be copied e.g.:
5. Press [ to copy the text and edit as below. The display
will show the copied text, e.g.:
6. Use the keypad keys to program/edit the text (see page
44). When the display shows the required text press [ to
acceptand repeatfrom step2orpress] toabandonand
return to “User menu 3".
