Passcode
-
A unique four digit number which must be entered before the alarm
system can be operated.
P.A. (Panic Alarm)
-
Emergency push button switch used to activate an alarm. The alarm
signal will also be transmitted to the central station if a remote
signalling device is fitted.
Remo te Keypad
-
A device located away from the main control panel that is used to
operate the alarm system.
Reset
-
The action required to return the system to its normal state after an
alarm.
Set
-
To arm the alarm system or wards.
System Open
-
The normal unset state of the system.
System Set
-
The full set state of the alarm system.
Tamper
-
An alarm caused by the system being interfered with physically or by
too many unauthorised keypad entries.
24 Hour Circu it
-
A circuit that is monitored at all times. When triggered in the unset
condition a local alarm is generated (Internal sounders only). When
triggered in full or part-set condition a full alarm is generated.
Unset
- To disarm the alarm system or areas (wards).
Users
-
Persons allocated a passcode which allows them to operate the
alarm system.
Wards
- Agroup of detection circuitsthatmaybe setorunsetindependentlyof
each other.
