9.3 - CHAIN BRACKET MOUNTING
Mount chain brackets to gate frame either by using the four
supplied 2” U-Bolts or by tack welding in place.
Put the gate in the center of travel of the
opening. The gate should remain in this position
while the chain is attached to the operator.
9 - 7251 INSTALLATION
Attach the master link to one end of the chain and a chain
bolt. Then attach the chain bolt to a chain bracket. Determine
the required length of chain needed to attach the other
chain bolt and still allow adjustment. Using the proper chain
breaking tool, cut and remove the excess chain. Attach chain
to chain bolt and connect to the chain bracket.
Allow 1 inch of sag per 10 feet of chain.
Chain should be aligned with all sprockets.
Route chain through sprockets as shown. Make sure chain is
level when attached to the chain brackets.
