Focus on the specimen.

Center the field diaphragm of the
Epi-illumination attachment.
Refer to "4. Epi-fluorescent Field Diaphragm" in
"17. Fluorescence Observation" of the separate
Reference manual.

Switch to the desired objective
and view the specimen.
• Use the ND filters for the fluorescence
attachment to adjust brightness.
• Adjust the field diaphragm so that it extends
slightly beyond the field of view.
• The image brightness can be adjusted with
the aperture diaphragm. Complete centering
before using the aperture diaphragm.
• When using oil immersion objectives, apply
immersion oil between the specimen and the
objective.
Focus on the specimen using the
coarse and fine focus knobs.
