Built-in
Speedlight
and
Matrix
Balanced
Fill-Flash
• The built-in Speedlight offers
an
angle
of
coverage of 28mm lens with a guide
number
of
12/40 (ISO 100, m/ft.). When a wide-angle lens
of
less than 28mm
focal length is used
in
flash photography using the built-in Speed light, the
flash may not reach the peripheral area and may result
in
a dark picture.
• Using CPU Nikkor lenses such
as
a 0 - or G-type Nikkor lens enables use
of
Matrix Balanced Fill-Flash. Analyzing the brightness and contrast level
derived from Matrix Metering, the Matrix Balanced Fill-Flash ensures proper
exposure
of
the main subject and background, while providing adequate flash
output to create natural-looking flash photography. See page 76 for details.
