• Use SMTP authorisation. If 
your e-mail service 
provider requires 
authentication for sending 
e-mails, set the setting to 
on. You must also define 
your SMTP user name and 
SMTP password.
• SMTP user name. Key in 
the user name for 
outgoing e-mails that you 
have obtained from your 
e-mail service provider. 
• SMTP password. Key in the 
password for outgoing 
e-mails. If you have not 
defined a password, you 
may be asked to define one 
when your phone connects 
to your e-mail account.
• Outgoing (SMTP) port. Key 
in the number of the 
e-mail server port for 
outgoing e-mail. The most 
common default value is 
25.
• Incoming (POP3/IMAP) 
port. Key in the port 
number that you have 
obtained from your e-mail 
service provider.
• Reply-to address. Key in 
the e-mail address to 
which you want the replies 
to be sent, if it differs from 
your e-mail address.
• Secure login APOP. Select 
On if your connection 
requires an encrypted 
login, otherwise leave it to 
Off. Contact your service 
provider if in doubt. This 
option is only shown, if 
you have selected POP3 as 
your mailbox type.
• Retrieve e-mails. Input the 
number of e-mails you 
want to retrieve at one 
time.

Chat
You can have a text message based 
conversation with another person 
using this faster text messaging 
application (network service). You 
cannot save received or sent 
messages, but you can view them 
while chatting. Each message is sent 
as a separate text message.
