Fuel System Primary Filter / Water Separator - Drain
NOTICE: Ensure the engine is stopped before any servicing or repair is performed.
NOTICE: The water separator can be under suction during normal engine operation. Ensure the drain
valve is tightened securely to help prevent air from entering the fuel system.
1. Install a suitable tube onto drain. Open the drain
valve, located on bottom of separator
(1) and allow
the fluid to drain into a suitable container.
2. Close the drain valve. Remove tube from drain.
Dispose of the drained fluid in accordance with local
regulations and mandates.
Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a
fire. To help prevent possible injury, turn the start switch off when changing fuel
filters or water separator elements. Clean up fuel spills immediately.
