Leveling and Smoothing
NOTICE: Never push material with the back of the blade. Back dragging will increase wear on the cutting
edges and may damage exposed cylinder rods.
When leveling an area of loose material, such as a road bed, straighten the frame and center the
circle under the machine. Angle the moldboard nearly perpendicular to the machine.
Raise the blade high enough to allow most of the material to discharge under the blade. Excess
material will discharge to the side.
Several passes may be required to evenly distribute material over desired area.On the final pass,
moldboard height should be sufficient to allow all material to discharge under the blade.
