3.13 Installation of the external oil/air cooler
3.13.1 Connecting hoses
NOTICE
The gear unit is supplied without the oil filling.
• Fill the gear unit with oil before commissioning.
The scope of delivery includes the oil/air cooler and the necessary hoses.
Connect the oil/air cooler according to the illustration.

Fasten the union nuts according to 7.3 "Screw tightening torques".
After assembling the oil lines, fill the gear unit housing with the gear oil type that is printed on the
name plate. The oil quantity on the name plate is a guide value and may vary, depending on the gear
ratio. Approximately 4.5 l of oil are additionally required for the hose lines. When filling, use the oil
level screw as an indicator for the correct oil level.
3.13.2 Electrical connection
Ensure the electrical connection according to the operating and installation instructions of the oil/air
cooler.
