Cylinder Head Inspection
Inspect timing chain guide (fixed) for wear, cracks
or other damages. Replace if necessary.
Check for cracks between valve seats, if so,
replace cylinder head.
Check mating surface between cylinder and
cylinder head for contamination. If so, clean both
surfaces.
Clean oil support through the cylinder head from
contamination.
1. Oil port to lubricate camshaft lobes intake
/exhaust
2. Oil supply to camshaft bearing journal (timing
chain side)
3. Oil supply to camshaft bearing journal (spark
plug side)
Cylinder Head Camshaft Bearing Inspection
Measure camshaft bearing in cylinder head.
A. Cam shaft bearing (timing chain side)
B. Cam shaft bearing (spark plug side)

Cylinder Head Installation
NOTE: Never invert front and rear cylinder heads.
0n the800R, cylinder heads are not identica1.
For installation, reverse the removal procedure.
Pay attention to the following details.
Ensure dowel pins are in place.
NOTICE Timing chain guide (fixed) has to be
fixed between cylinder and cylinder head.
