7. Maintenance
• When replacing the C, M, Y toner cartridges, refer to "For C (cyan), M (magenta), Y (yellow) Toner Cartridge".

Prepare a new [K] toner cartridge.

Insert your finger into the recess on the right side of the machine and pull the
front cover open lever (1) to open the front cover (2) forward.

Turn the toner cartridge lock lever (blue) (3) of the toner cartridge toward you
until its top aligns on the mark to detach the toner cartridge from the image
drum.

Lift the toner cartridge (4) from the right side, and remove it from the machine.
• When toner powder drops to the paper feeding area inside the machine, wipe it off with a wet cloth that has
been well wrung.

Unpack a new toner cartridge, and shake the cartridge several times vertically
and horizontally.
For K (black) Toner Cartridge Only
Burns may result.
Never throw used toner cartridges into a fire. They may explode, and the toner inside
may fly off and cause burns.
