10 EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS
10.1 B1018 Wi-Fi kit
10.1.1 Overview
The B1018 Wi-Fi kit allows control of the operation of the climate control
unit to which it is connected, based on commands issued by an app
installed on a smartphone, iPhone, tablet, or iPad. The Wi-Fi kit must be
installed on a climate control unit located near a wireless router.
In the event of excessive weakening of the Wi-Fi signal, the Smart App
may become disconnected more easily as the signal weakens.
In order to be able to use the Wi-Fi board, the smartphone must be able
to communicate via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or 3G based on the location of the
same with respect to the climate control unit.
The quality of the connection to a wireless network may be affected by
the presence of electromagnetic smog.
