the
CAPS
LOCK
key once more.
An
LED
indicator
on
the
CAPS
LOCK
key
lights
up
when
the
alphabetic
section
of
the
keyboard
is
in
upper
case
mode.
MULTI-CHARACTER
KEYS
Some
keys,
on
certain
national
keyboards,
are
capable
of
entering
up
to
five
characters,
depending
on
which key
combination
is
used
along
with
them .
The
illustration
(J9,A)
shows which key combination
accesses
which
character
on
one
of
these
multi-character
keys (on
the
left
is
shown
a
general
example,
on
the
right
is
shown
a
special
key from
the
Norwegian
keyboard):
Each
character
has a
corresponding
key combination
as
follows:
A -
The
key
alone
is
pressed
(unshifted)
B -
Press
and hold
down
ALT
and
then
the
key
(unshifted)
C -
Press
and
hold
down
SHIFT
and
then
the
key
o -
Press
and
hold
down
ALT
and
SHIFT
and
then
the
key
E -
Press
and hold
down
CTRL
and
ALT
and
then
the
key.
Note
concerning
the
above:
When
entering
one
of
the
above
combinations,
press
the
keys
in
the
order
shown,
holding
down
the
first
while
pressing
the
second,
and
so
on. Hold
down
the
keys
until
the
desired
action
has
taken
effect.
The
above
table
concerns
only
the
alphanumeric keys and
does
not
apply
to
the
nu.eric
keypad , which
will
be
explained
later
on. Dual
function
control
keys
(e.g.
the
cursor
keys)
will
be
explained
separately.
