Charging the batteries
Charging using docking station and USB cable
ConnecttheUSBcabletothedocking
station.
Charging directly via USB cable
Afterloadingthebatteriesintotherecorder,you
canchargethembyconnectingtheUSBcabletothe
recorder.

Notes
• Chargethebatteriesfrequentlyduringthefirst
periodofuse.Thebatterieswillperformbetter
afterseveralcharge/dischargecycles.
• Modelsofbatterieswhicharedifferentfromthe
includedonemaynotbecharged.
• WhentherecorderisconnectedtooraPCor
USB-connectingACadapterviatheUSBcable,
thescreentosetthetypeofUSBconnectionwill
appearwhen[Optional]issetfor[USBConnect]
(P. 39).
• ChargingthebatteriesviatheUSBcable
connectionmaynotbesuccessfuldependingon
thepowercapacityoftheUSBportinyourPC.Use
theACadapterinstead.
• Donotsetorremovetherecorderfromthe
dockingstationwhileoperating.
• DonotchargetherecorderthroughaUSBhub.
• DonotattachorremovethebatteriesiftheUSB
cableisconnected.
• Whenchargingiscomplete,[

indicatorand[BatteryFull]willappearonthe
display.
• If[Alkaline]isselectedonthebatterytype
selectionscreen,[
]indicatorand[Cannot
Charge]willappearonthedisplay.Inthiscase,
