Message Cause and recommended action
<LOW BATTERY.
PLEASE CONNECT TO THE AC ADAPTER
OR TURN OFF THE POWER.>
The battery voltage is low.
→ Stop all operations, such as image recording, copying,
deleting and formatting the USB flash drive, etc., and
immediately replace the battery. Or connect the AC adapter.
<HIGH TEMPERATURE (DISTAL END).
PLEASE IMMEDIATELY PULL OUT THE
INSERTION TUBE.>
The self-check function was activated to prompt termination of
inspection because the distal end became too hot.
→ Immediately pull the insertion tube out of the observation
object.
This message will appear before the
atmospheric temperature of the distal end
reaches the maximum operating ambient
temperature.
<OVER CURRENT (ARTICULATION MOTOR).
PLEASE TURN OFF THE POWER.>
The self-check function was activated to prompt termination of
operation because the insertion tube is overloaded.
→ Extend the insertion tube as much as possible to reduce
the loop amount, and turn power back on without operating
the [ANGLE/LOCK] joystick.
<OVER CURRENT (LIGHT SOURCE).
PLEASE TURN OFF THE POWER.>
The self-check function was activated to prompt termination of
operation due to the over current of the light source.
→ Terminate inspection, allow the instrument to cool down,
and then turn power back on again.
Problem Cause and recommended action
Illumination does not light.
The [LIGHT] button (
) is not turned ON.
→ Turn ON the [LIGHT] button (
).
The optical adapter
cannot be attached to the
insertion tube.
A foreign object is stuck to the screws.
→ Wipe with a clean piece of gauze or a cotton swab.
The optical adapter in use is not a designated optical adapter for this system.
→ Use the designated optical adapter.
The installation procedure is not correct.
→ Install the optical adapter again according to the correct procedures (see
“3-5 Attaching and removing the optical adapter” (page30)).
The optical adapter
cannot be removed from
the insertion tube.
