3-5 Attaching and removing the optical adapter
· Be sure to attach the O-ring to the distal end of the insertion tube before using
the optical adapter.
Water getting into the area where the insertion tube and the optical adapter join
may cause malfunction or damage. Also note that the optical adapter by itself is not
watertight.
· Never use the instrument while dirt or water is attached inside the optical
adapter.
Otherwise, the water tightness between the optical adapter and the distal end may
be lost, or the optical adapter or the distal end may be damaged.
Holding the optical adapter and the distal end so that they make one straight line
each other, carefully insert the optical adapter into the distal end.
