1. Confirm that the A-cord is free of scratches and cracks, and is not buckled,
damaged or bent. Insert the A-cord plug into the active connector on the
electrosurgical unit’s front panel until it clicks (see Figure 3.11).

2. Attach the accessory side of the A-cord’s plug to the fiberscope or
videoscope accessory.
