High frequency output error

Irregularity description Possible cause Solution
The high frequency output
warning indicator lights, the
alarm sounds and the high
frequency output stops.
The output level deviates
from the set level.
Stop the output
immediately.
Start the output again. If
abnormal function still
occurs the equipment is in
need of service.
The high frequency output
warning indicator lights for a
while, then the alarm
sounds and high frequency
output stops.
When an endoscope is
used, any metal portion of
the endoscope’s distal end
has come into contact with
tissue.
Lift the distal end of the
endoscope away from the
tissue.
When an endoscope is
used, any metal portion of
the endoscope’s distal end
has come into contact with
tissue via bridging fluids.
Lift the distal end of the
endoscope away from the
tissue. Suction fluids
around the target area.
When an endoscope is
used, any metal portion of
the endoscope’s distal end
is touching the diathermy
accessory tip.
Position the accessory in
the vicinity of the target
area, and move the
endoscope away to the
extend that the accessory
tip remains visible in the
field of view.
The patient plate is in
contact with metallic parts
of the operating table or
other units, etc.
Move the patient plate
away from metallic parts.
Insufficient contact
between the patient plate
and the patient’s skin.
Reattach the patient plate
as described in Section 3.4,
“Connection of the patient
plate”.
When an endoscope is
used, the tip of the
accessory is not in contact
with the lesion.
Bring the tip of the
accessory in contact with
the lesion.
