Note 1. Set the data length to 7 bits to select the ASCII code and 8 bits to select the
JIS 8-digit code.
2. Set the parity setting to E to designate the even parity and O to designate the
odd parity. Set the parity setting to N if no parity is designated.
Note It is extremely important to turn of f the power to the ID Controller before making
the DIP switch settings. DIP switch settings are acted upon at power supply
startup, and consequently changing DIP switch settings while the system is in
operation will have no effect.
