      If no picture appears on the TV screen (or monitor) when using your Onkyo Receiver, ensure that the TV (or monitor) is set to receive the input from the receiver. Also, check that the video cable is securely connected. If the input source is connected to the COMPONENT VIDEO IN connectors, ensure the TV (or monitor) is connected to COMPONENT VIDEO OUT connectors.

      If you hear a rough or scratchy sound and the high range is not clear on your Onkyo Receiver, it could be due to several reasons: * An internal fuse may be blown – in this case, contact your Onkyo Service Center. * If using a turntable (TX-SR700/700E only), the needle may be dirty or worn, or there could be a problem with a connected component – refer to the instruction of the connected components and check for problem. * The treble control may be set too high – turn the treble setting down at Audio Adjust ? Treble.

      If there is no OSD Menu display on your Onkyo Receiver, it could be due to an improper connection. Check the connections. The OSD Menu is displayed when the monitor is connected to VIDEO or S VIDEO of MONITOR OUT, so check these connections as well.

      If you're experiencing crackling noise on both AM and FM stations with your Onkyo Receiver, it could be due to noise caused by a fluorescent lamp being turned on and off, so move the antenna as far as possible from the lamp. It also may be noise from automobile ignition, in that case install an FM outdoor antenna as far as possible from the road and change the position or direction of the outdoor antenna.
