Enginebrakescannotbeenabled:
•Whencruisecontrolisactive
andtheenginebrakesincruise
controlfeatureisturnedoff.
•Whenenginespeedgoes
below850RPM.
•Whentheenginecomputer
recognizesasystemproblem.
Thethrottlesensorispartofthe
acceleratorpedalassemblylocatedin
thecabandwilldeactivatetheengine
brakeswhentheaccelerationpedalis
depressed.
Theclutchswitchusesthemotionof
theclutchlinkagetodeactivatethe
enginebrakeswhentheclutchpedal
isdepressed.
Theservicebrakepressureswitch
isattachedtotheservicebrakeair
supplyline.
Applyingtheservicebrakeswhilein
cruisecontrolwilldisengagethecruise
controlandenabletheenginebrakes.
Ifthepedal-activatedenginebrake
featureisenabled,theservicebrake
pedalmustbedepressed(tapped)
beforetheenginebrakeswillbe
activated.
