acustomerdecidethereisaneedfor

•Useanindustryknown,high
qualityproduct(EPAapproved).
•Onlyusetheadditiveforthe
minimumtimeneeded.
•Followadditivemanufacturer's
instructionsexactly.
•Refuelwithpropergradefuelas
soonaspossible.
WarrantyandtheUseof
BiodieselFuel
PACCARInc.approvestheuseof
biodieselfuelblendsupto20%by
volumeindieselfuelprovidingthatthe
followingconditionsaremeet:
•Thebiodieselusedintheblend
meetsASTMStandardD6751or
EN14214specications.
•Thebiodieselusedintheblend
issourcedfromaBQ-9000
AccreditedProducer.
•Thenishedblendmeetsthefuel
propertiesoftheASTMStandard
D975(uptoB5blend)orD7467
(B6toB20blend).
•Theengineoilandoillterare
changedat40,000miles/64,000
km(orsixmonths).
•Thefuellterischangedevery
25,000miles/40,000km.
Theuseofapprovedbiodieselfuel
doesnotaffectthePACCARengine
warranty.Failurescausedbytheuseof
non-approvedbiodieselfuelsorother
fueladditivesthatareofunacceptable
qualityorDONOTmeetspecied
industrystandardsarenotconsidered
asdefectsofpartsorworkmanship
byPACCARandthereforewillnot
becoveredbythePACCARengine
warranty.
PACCARrecommendsthatcustomers
intendingtousebiodieselblends
becomefamiliarwiththeadditional
handlingconsiderationsofthesefuels
suchasageing,metalcompatibility
andtendencytoabsorbwater.Please
referencethefuelsupplier’stechnical
informationorindustryguidelinessuch
astheAmericanTruckingAssociation
