Ifthevehicledrivewheelsbegintoskid
orifthereisashtailingmotion,DO
NOTactivatetheenginebrakes.
Iftractionismaintainedusingthe
retardingpoweroftheenginealone
andmorebrakingpowerisrequired,
switchthetwo-positionselectorswitch
tothe“LOW”positionandactivate
theenginebrakesbyswitchingthe
“ON/OFF”switchtothe“ON”position.
Ifthevehicle’sdrivewheelsbeginto
skidorthereisashtailingmotion,
switchthe“ON/OFF”switchtothe
“OFF”position.
Iftractionismaintainedwhenthe
enginebrakesareactivatedandmore
brakingpowerisrequired,movethe
two-positionselectorswitchtothe“HI”
position.
Again,ifthevehiclehaslosttractionor
ifthereisashtailingmotion,switch
the“ON/OFF”switchtothe“OFF”
position.DONOTattempttousethe
enginebrakesinthe“HI”position.
