special“break-in”enginelubricating
oilsforneworrebuiltPACCAR
engines.Itisrecommendedtouse
thesamelubricatingoilforengine
break-inthatwillbeusedduringnormal
operation.
CAUTION
Asulfatedashlimitof1.85percent
hasbeenplacedonallenginelu-
bricatingoilsrecommendedforuse
inPACCARengines.Higherash
oilscancausevalveand/orpis-
tondamageandleadtoexcessive
oilconsumption.Failuretocomply
mayresultinequipmentdamage.
CAUTION
Theuseofasynthetic-baseoil
doesnotjustifyextendedoil
changeintervals.Extendedoil
changeintervalscandecreaseen-
ginelifeduetofactorssuchascor-
rosion,deposits,andwear.Failure

verysophisticated.Mostoilsalready
containpreciseamountsofadditives
blendedintothelubricatingoiltomeet
stringentperformancerequirements.
Thesefurnishedoilsmeetperformance
characteristicsthatconformto
thelubricantindustrystandards.
Aftermarketlubricatingoiladditivesare
notnecessarytoenhanceengineoil
performanceandinsomecasescan
reducethefurnishedoil'scapabilityto
protecttheengine.
