Going off-hook
In this manual, when you see the phrase "off-hook", you can do any of the following:
• Lift the corded handset off its cradle.
• Press /[SP-PHONE] or /[SP-PHONE/HEADSET] while the corded handset is on
its cradle. This enables hands-free mode.
• Press /[SP-PHONE] or /[SP-PHONE/HEADSET] when using a headset.
• Press /[LINE], and then press a dial key or [ ]/[ ] to select the line number.
• Press a Program Key with a line registered to it (KX-TPA68 only).
Note
• Certain soft keys, such as
/ , function like the /[SP-PHONE] or /[SP-
PHONE/ HEADSET] key.
Going on-hook
In this manual, when you see the phrase "on-hook", you can do any of the following:
• Replace the corded handset on its cradle.
• Press /[SP-PHONE] or /[SP-PHONE/HEADSET] when using a headset or when
you are in hands-free mode.
• Press /[CANCEL].
