Compensating the Exposure
Applicable modes:
Use this function when you cannot achieve appropriate exposure due to the difference in
brightness between the subject and the background. Look at the following examples.
•
Select [0] to return to the original exposure.
• Rotate the control dial to display the [Expo.Meter]. (P87)
• To compensate the exposure using the function lever, set [Function Lever] (P19) in the
[Custom] menu to [EXP.].
• The set exposure value is memorized even if the camera is turned off.
• When numerical values for aperture and shutter speed are displayed in Program AE Mode,
each press of the cursor button 3 switches between Program Shift and Exposure
Compensation.
• In Aperture-Priority AE Mode, each press of the cursor button 3 switches between Aperture
Setting (P89) and Exposure Compensation.
• In Shutter-Priority AE Mode, each press of the cursor button 3 switches between Shutter
Speed Setting (P90) and Exposure Compensation.
Not available in these cases:
•
The compensation range of the exposure will be limited depending on the brightness of the
subject.
