• Picture might look whitish when lens or image sensor gets dirty with fingerprints or similar.
> If the lens is dirty turn the camera off and then gently wipe the lens surface with a soft, dry
cloth.

• Is the AE Lock (P161) applied incorrectly?
> Cancel the settings of White Balance Bracket (P146).
• Is the Burst (P164) or Auto Bracket (P167) set?
> Set the drive mode to Single. (P58)
• Is the self-timer (P170) set to [ ]?
• The subject is beyond the focus range of the camera. (P59)
• There is camera shake (jitter) or the subject is moving slightly. (P122)
• Is [Focus/Release Priority] in the [Custom] menu set to [RELEASE]? (P156)
In this case, the picture may not be properly focused even if [AFS], [AFF] or [AFC] in [Focus
Mode] is set.

The recorded picture is whitish.
