Analyzing still pictures for categorization by Face Recognition
Analyzing saved still pictures
The analysis process categorizes still pictures currently in the saved folders using the registered face pictures for Face Recognition.
Tips
●Analysis will take a lot of time if there are many saved pictures.
●Even if you change the face pictures for Face Recognition, the
changes will not be reflected in the categorization unless you perform
analysis of the still pictures.
●If you set automatic analysis, the Face Recognition categorization will
always be kept up to date. (→55)

Click [Face Recog.] and then select
[Start face analysis].
●You can also start the analysis by selecting [Tools] → [Face
Recognition]→ [Start face analysis] from the menu.

When the confirmation message is
displayed, click [Yes].
Analysis starts for the still pictures, and they are categorized.
●When analysis finishes, the completion notification is displayed.
To stop the analysis process

Click [Cancel].
●You can cancel by clicking [Face Recog.] and
selecting [Cancel face analysis], or by selecting [Tools]
→ [Face Recognition] → [Cancel face analysis] from the
menu.
To categorize by Face Recognition only the still
pictures in a specific folder

In the Folder display, select the folder with the still
pictures that you want to categorize.

Right-click and select [Folder face analysis].
