1.

the
tape
with
the
side
on
which
the
recording
will
start
facing
up.
2.
Select
the
broadcast
station.

REV
MODE
to
select
the
re¬
verse
mode
(see
page
16).
If
you
do
not
want
to
hear
any
sound
while
recording,
turn
down
the
volume.
(This
will
not
affect
the
recording
level.)

TIMER
to
display
“REC”.
ON—»REC—»OFF

time

is

If
“TIMER-REC"
indicator
does
not
light:
Make
sure
that
you
have
set
the
clock
(see
page
7).
To
release
the
timer
function:
(only
when
the
unit
is
on)
Press
TIMER
to
turn
“OFF’
display
on.
The
timer
will
operate
on
the
time
you
have
set,
if
you
press
TIMER
again
so
that
the
‘TIMER-REC"
indicator
lights.
To
check
what
has
been
programmed:
Press
ADJUST
when
the
unit
is
off
and
TIMER
display
on.
The
display
changes
automatically
as
follows:
1.
Programmed
time
2
.
Programmed
station
3.
Programmed
volume
level
4.
Original
display
To
enjoy
play
after
programming:
(after
step

1.
Start
playing
the
desired
sound
source.
2.
After
play,
turn
the
unit
off
before
timer
recording
starts.
Be
sure
to
turn
tape
direction
indicator
toward
desired
direction
before
you
turn
the
unit
off.
Even
if
you
change
the
volume
level
or
sound
source,
whatever
was
programmed
is
restored
at
the
recording
time.

POWER
to
turn
the
unit
off.

the

the
timer
at
the
same
time
every
day:
First
check
that
TIMER-REC
appears
on

display
and
then
turn
the
unit
off.

stop
the
timer
