10 The cutting technique and condition (continue)
10.3 The piercing
WARNING
To avoid burnt, please observe the below mentioned precautions:
·During piercing, spatter may blow out, keep the hands and face away.
Before executing piercing, make the cutting start end according to 【10.1 contact cutting 】 or 【10.2
non-contact cutting 】.
·The piercing capacity
The piercing capacity of the Machine (applicable piercing thickness) is as follows:
Piercing
·For contact piercing, hold the
cutting torch horizontally inclining
5° against the base metal; for
non-contact piercing, keep the
cutting torch end 5mm away
from base metal.
Please do not press switch
when cutting tip vertically
contacts with base metal,
otherwise it can cause cutting
tip burning loss.

Execute according to 【10.1 contact cutting 】 or 【10.2 non-contact cutting 】

Low-carbon steel 4.5mm or less
Stainless steel 4.5mm or less
Aluminum 3mm or less
Copper 2mm or less
