6.3 Park Control -> handbrake, parking brake
The electric parking brake, Park control, takes on the function
of operating the original handbrake, parking brake on the
vehicle.
For vehicles with an original electric parking brake:
• The system activates the existing components of the parking
brake.
For vehicles with an original mechanical parking brake:
• The system controls the components installed subsequently for
your vehicle, e.g. electric motors that take over the activation.
Function of the system:
• "Setting" the parking brake, complete maneuver.
• "Releasing" the parking brake, maneuver as a function of the
activation time of the control element. Thus, slow release of the
parking brake is possible.
• Activation of the indicator light (symbol) in the vehicle.
