box of the motor directly to the earth/ground
terminal.

If not using shielded cable, run motor leads in an
enclosed metal conduit bonded to the drive at
one end and the motor at the other.
Connect the earth/ground wire to the
earth/ground terminal.

An External Braking Resistor is optional.
Connect it between DBR+ and DBR- for
high inertial loads.
DO NOT apply external voltage sources
(mains supply or otherwise) to the braking
terminals.
We recommend using a thermal overload
switch to protect the braking circuit.
