6. SERVICE
. ..A. ROLLER SYSTEM
Roller Adjustment Bushing
Saw rollers are adjusted with a set of threaded
1 bushings. This set is in the main saw housing. A
stationary set is in the roller cover. The set in the
main saw housing must be clean so they can be
adjusted. The set of bushings in the roller cover is not
removed unless damaged. These bushings are “lock
tightened” into place. If removal is necessary, use
heat to loosen bushing, then unscrew from cover.
BUSHING SURFACE
1. During
installation of new
bushings, be careful not to
damage mating surfaces of the
bushings. Remove any burrs on
these surfaces. Check bushings
for looseness. If loose, apply
Loctite for permanent locking only
to the bushings in the roller
cover.
2. Apply grease
only to the
bushings (2) that are installed in
the main saw housing.
NOTE:
It is important that these
bushings are greased on a regular
basis, since roller clearance is
changed by the positioning of these
two bushings.
