C. WATER COOLING COMPONENTS
The K3500 saw is a wet-cutting saw. All components
in the water system must be kept in good condition to
provide ample water to the blade. A good water
supply is needed to maximize blade life. Less than
maximum water flow greatly shortens the life of the
drive disc and rollers.
Always use a clean water
source to prevent water nozzle blockage.
The water system consists of the water valve below
the saw housing and the water nozzle on the
stabilizer blade.
Both must be kept clean and
operable.
1. Remove water valve from saw
housing.
Disassemble, inspect
and clean.
Replace parts as
needed.
2. Remove roller cover, with screw-
driver.
Remove the stabilizer
blade and hose clamp. Inspect
water nozzles and clean nozzles
if plugged. Use adequate water
pressure to provide a heavy
water stream.
3. Reverse procedure for reassem-
bly. During reassembly Loctite
screws holding stabilizer blade in
place.
